Julie Rutkowski, LCSW
(she/her)
Integrative & Holistic Therapist for Women Founder, Center for Healing & Integration
Julie Rutkowski is a licensed clinical social worker and the founder of the Center for Healing & Integration, providing integrative, holistic mental health therapy for women in Westmont, Downers Grove, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, and the surrounding Chicago suburbs. She supports women navigating anxiety, overwhelm, life transitions, trauma, and a deeper loss of connection to self.
Julie specializes in working with women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s who are ready to move beyond surface-level coping and step into deeper healing, self-discovery, and meaningful personal growth. Many of the women she works with have already done inner work and are seeking a more expansive mind-body-spirit approach to therapy.
With over 25 years of experience, Julie’s approach is compassionate, insightful, and deeply grounded. She creates a calm, supportive space where clients can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and explore their inner world with openness and curiosity. Sessions integrate talk therapy with somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, and holistic mental health practices, offering both reflection and gentle guidance to support lasting change.

Julie believes that emotional and physical well-being are deeply interconnected. Her work honors the relationship between the mind, body, and nervous system, while also creating space for spiritual exploration for those who feel called to it. She is especially attuned to how past experiences and trauma shape present patterns and supports clients in building awareness, reconnecting with themselves, and creating intentional, aligned change.

This philosophy is what led Julie to found the Center for Healing & Integration. She envisioned a space where individuals could be supported as whole people, not just through traditional talk therapy, but through an integrative model that brings together mental health, somatic therapy, and holistic healing practices.
Clients often begin therapy feeling lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected and over time experience greater grounding, clarity, self-trust, and alignment. Her work supports the development of a stronger sense of self, increased calm, and a renewed sense of direction.

Julie brings both extensive clinical experience and lived experience to her work, including navigating complex family dynamics, grief, and supporting loved ones through mental health challenges. Her personal healing journey through meditation, yoga, and integrative practices informs her deep belief in the possibility of transformation and growth.

Julie is known for being compassionate, insightful, and steady. She believes healing is an ongoing process of renewal and reconnection that allows each person to return to themselves and create a more meaningful, balanced, and empowered life. She offers in-person therapy in Westmont, IL and virtual therapy for women across Illinois.
