Julie Rutkowski, LCSW
(she/her)
Holistic Mental Health Therapist for Women Founder of Center for Healing & Integration
Julie provides integrative, holistic therapy for women navigating anxiety, overwhelm, life transitions, and a loss of connection to self. She is especially passionate about supporting women in their 30s to 50s who are ready to move beyond surface level coping and step into deeper healing, self discovery, and personal growth. Many of the women she works with have already done meaningful inner work and are seeking a more expansive, mind body spirit approach to healing.
With over 25 years of experience, Julie's approach is compassionate, insightful, and deeply grounded. Julie creates a calm, supportive space where clients can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and explore their inner world with openness and curiosity. Sessions often include both reflection and gentle guidance, helping clients reframe life experiences and develop more empowering ways of responding to thoughts, emotions, and sensations in the body.

Julie believes that emotional and physical well being are deeply interconnected. She integrates a client centered and holistic approach that honors the connection between the mind, body, and nervous system, while also creating space for spiritual exploration for those who feel called to it. Her work is rooted in the understanding that past experiences and trauma can shape patterns in the present, and that healing happens through awareness, reconnection, and intentional change.

This philosophy is what led Julie to found the Center for Healing and Integration. She envisioned a space where individuals could be supported as whole people, not just through traditional talk therapy, but through an integrative model that honors the mind, body, and spirit and creates opportunities for deeper, more meaningful healing.

Clients often come to Julie feeling lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected and leave feeling more grounded, centered, and aligned with who they are. Her work supports the development of a stronger sense of self, increased calm, and a renewed sense of hope and direction. Julie brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work, including navigating complex family dynamics, grief, and supporting loved ones through mental health challenges. Her personal healing journey, including meditation, yoga, and integrative practices, informs her deep belief in the possibility of transformation and growth.

Julie is known for being compassionate, insightful, and steady. She believes healing is an ongoing process of renewal and reconnection, one that allows each person to return to themselves and create a more meaningful, balanced, and empowered life.

Julie offers in person and virtual therapy for women in Downers Grove, Westmont, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, and the surrounding Chicago suburbs.
